This is the same weapon that cost the Democrats the presidency in 2004 - refusal to oppose an evil war. This is the same sort of weakness that cost Hubert Humphrey the election in 1968 against Nixon. Humphrey came from way behind and almost beat Nixon because he finally came out against the war he had viciously supported, against all his principles.
What is it but a lie, when Democrats say, oh, we were fooled about weapons of mass destruction. I am of average intellect, but I could see. My friends could see. When Democratic Senators vote for war, they make speeches that make it sound like they are against the war, while they are for it also. The message is so mixed it shows them to be puny careerist liars who do not care about the country, from whose fate they are insulated by high position.
The mass of people do stupid things, like vote for Bush. But this mass is made up of very smart people, who are distracted and misinformed. The Senators aren't misinformed. They knew that WMD was a lie. The mass of people may not stay up on current events enough to know to discount the WMD lie, but it takes no great research to detect the phoniness of the self-contradicting Hillary-like
positions of the Democrats.
Why are the Republican arguments against the Democrats, re: flip flop, you supported the war, so effective?
Because they are true.
Do you agree or disagree? Why?
