Is Mukasey Pontious Pilate or more like a nazi?

On MSNBC now, Mukasey Won't Weigh in on Waterboarding.  http://www.msnbc.msn.com/...

"Attorney General Michael Mukasey said Tuesday he will refuse to publicly say whether the interrogation tactic known as waterboarding is illegal, digging in against critics who want the Bush administration to define it as torture."

Gee.  It is so hard for him to decide it is torture, ever.  He could be DOING it and he wouldn't be able to decide.  In fact, these statements are him doing it.  He just doesn't have to get his hands dirty.

Our Democratic Party made the flimsiest show of standing up to this man.  Thank you, Chuck Schumer and Dianne Feinstein.  Our definition of moderate has gone crazy. Feinstein is a "moderate" and she countenances this.  Schumer is a "liberal" and he is down with it.

But anyone who says my god this is against everything we are supposed to be for, you have to stand up against this and condemn everyone associated with it -- that person gets called a "radical."

Tolerance can be a good thing, and it can be a bad thing.  I say we should not tolerate torture or hypocrisy, and that means we have to acknowledge that the Democratic Party has very many corrupt and amoral persons in high places, making party policy, and getting called "liberal" and "moderate."  We must recognize that electing a Democrat is not always desirable.
